Hope’s Fund has been established to provide funding for our rescues who reach our doors with extensive medical situations which require medical treatment that exceeds our normal funding.

Hope’s Fund was founded on behalf of “Hope”, who came to us at approximately one week of age, weightly all of nine ounces. She had been tossed away over a fence and discovered by vet techs early one monring as they were coming to work. Hope overcame all odds and has grown into an adorable puppy, currently 4 1/2 months old, who winds the hearts of all. At eight weeks old, doctors confirmed that a heart murmur heard since birth was due to a hole that had not closed and would require open heart surgery to correct. Without surgery, Hope faces a tragically short life expectancy of approximately one year after defying all odds in her first few critical weeks. With the surgery Hope’s prognosis is excellent and she will be given the change to live out the life she fought so hard for in the early days and bring joy to many.

HOPE NEEDS YOUR HELP! All donations are greatly appreciated in our effortst o provide her with the medical attention she needs. For additional information regarding “Hope’s Fund,” please call 228-243-6999.

Hope’s Fund will be a permanent account with Gulf Coast Canine Rescue so that we may continue to provide rescues in the future requiring extensive medical attention the treatment they desperately need.
